Assessment and Progression

Assessments are designed to evaluate learners’ proficiency in each skill area through task-based controlled assessments. At Entry Levels and Level 1, assessments are internally marked and externally quality assured, while at Level 2, certain assessments may be externally marked. This rigorous assessment process ensures that learners meet the required standards at each level.

Upon successful completion of a level, learners can progress to the next, gradually building their language proficiency. The modular structure allows for flexibility, enabling learners to focus on specific skills as needed and achieve certification in each area before attaining the full ESOL Skills for Life Certificate.

We also offers additional resources and support materials to aid both learners and educators in the effective delivery and acquisition of these qualifications. These resources are accessible to approved centres and are designed to complement the curriculum, providing practical tools for teaching and learning.

In summary, the ESOL Skills for Life qualifications provide a structured and comprehensive pathway for non-native English speakers to develop their language skills across all key areas, supporting their integration into English-speaking environments and enhancing their opportunities for further education and employment.
